The Vega system is in peril. The omega men are there to fight until the end with their newest member, the White Lantern, Kyle Rayner. Tom King reinvents this classic DC team in this weeks book, The Omega Men.
Next week it is the last of our new beginnings, the early 90’s relaunch of the X-men in Mutant Genesis. Which happens to be the beginning of the end for Chris Claremont, Mutant Genesis is his last story in his long run as the writer of the X-men.

It’s first contact time, with Letter 44. The incoming president finds a traditional note on his desk from the much hated out going president. The note informs the president that their is an alien craft just out side of jupiter, and a team of american astronauts are on their way to make contact.
Next week, its the beginning of the end with the omega men. Are they a cult, patriots, zealots, hero's, or villains? I guess that depends on who’s side your on. Another great book from Tom King, who wrote the Vision comic we all loved.

This week is all about new beginnings when the Vision tries to learn what its like to be human. With a wife and two kids in toe, they make a go of it in a Washington, DC suburbs. But can an artificial family really have a normal life?
Next week its first contact with Letter 44. It’s the new presidents first day on the job, and the out going president has left him a note. Reading the note, the new president now knows the worlds biggest secret: We have made contact with aliens, and a small group of astronauts is on their way to say hello.

It's the first month of the year, and we're focusing out attention on beginnings. Fresh starts, origins, first contacts, and the beginning of the end. We are starting first with the beginning of the end in The Infinity Gauntlet. We then move to new beginnings with The Vision. Letter 44 surrounds our first contact with aliens. The omega men bring back the beginning of the end. And we get a fresh star with with X-Men Mutant Genesis.
Its the beginning of the end when Thanos gets the Infinity Gauntlet. Half of all living creatures are wiped out in the first book along. And we end with a game of keep-away on an epic scale.

Next week is a variety of Batman tales with Batman:Black and White. A collection of stories from legendary comicbook creators.

Were still scratching out heads about this one. It all started with our confusion about the title, and got worse from there. This week were reading the surreal Manga parody, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Try getting your spell check not to freak out over that combination of letters.
Next week its The Boys, a secret CIA group established to keep ill-behaved superhero in line. From the same writer as Preacher, Garth Ennis. And the same artist of Transmetropolitian, Darick Robertson.
